Description: Our fifth year bringing in Antonio Medina’s coffee from his farm in Chimaltenango, Guate. This season we bought his Bourbon lot (he grows both Bourbon and Caturra at Finca Colina). It’s been really interesting to see Antonio separate his lots by variety in recent seasons, giving the opportunity to hone in on the specific qualities of each cherry. Employing a squeaky clean washed process, his coffees are always delicious and complex. This year’s lot is more fruit-forward than years past, showcasing a lush sweetness (reminding us of poached pears) and the subtle acidity of dried berries, all wrapped in a vanilla aroma.
